The six-claw grounding washer — full name “grounding disc-spring anti-loosening lock washer” — is an evolution of the disc-spring lock washer. One face carries a unique anti-slip tooth pattern; the other is studded with six sharp claws. The exact tooth profile varies by brand and tooling.

Its working principle is clever yet efficient. Because the body is tapered, it generates axial tension under load. With high inherent hardness, the six claws on the underside fully embed into the substrate during installation, ensuring excellent contact. When the bolt is tightened, contact remains optimal and grounding is maximized. The toothed upper face increases friction and provides strong anti-loosening.

Applications are extremely broad. In railway locomotives it stabilizes the electrical system grounding, supporting safe high-speed operation.
